I'm passionate about creating cutting-edge technology for medical applications. My journey began with earning a B.S. degree in electronic engineering from Escuela Politécnica Nacional, Quito, Ecuador, in 2016. I then pursued a PhD in electronic engineering at Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, Valparaíso, Chile, which I completed in 2023.
During this amazing journey, I discovered my true love: applying artificial intelligence to solve medical challenges. I experienced the thrill of seeing my work published under my name and the weight of responsibility that comes with conducting experiments guided by strict methodology and ethics.
Currently, I'm a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Davis, where I'm using state-of-the-art deep learning and generative AI to improve the interpretability of digital subtraction angiography for liver cancer diagnosis and treatment.
